Millbury Finance Committee unanimously backs a $63.2 million FY27 budget. The panel voted 6-0 to recommend $63,191,448 in town spending after Chief Financial Officer Katie McKenna reported the Elmwood Street and high school roof projects came in "4.7 million less than what was projected," cutting planned borrowing to roughly $14 million. Members also rescinded and refiled a sewer commissioner stipend vote after Sewer Commissioner Gary Nelson corrected his own request from $450 to $500 per commissioner, the first raise in 19 years.

The committee recommended Warrant Articles 1-12, 14 and 15 as written, deferred a Housing Authority article to the Board of Selectmen and six zoning articles to the Planning Board, and pressed Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School for quarterly budget updates after its assessment to Millbury dropped 11 percent.
