Sturbridge's Zoning Board of Appeals continued two variance hearings to Nov. 18 because it lacked a super majority. With four of seven members present, new Town Planner Aiden Adams said five are required to act on a variance. At 108 Mashapaug Road, Kevin LeBlanc seeks a variance to create a new lot with 131 feet of frontage, 19 feet short of the required 150.
Neighbor Kristen Clark said she is "afraid my property is going to flood." At 152 Main Street, NBM Realty, LLC proposes two seven-unit buildings behind two existing six-unit buildings. Adams also briefed the board on the new practical-difficulty variance standard in the state budget's Chapter 40A changes.
