Zoning Board · Meeting of November 5, 2026

Grafton's Zoning Board of Appeals found a Fisherville Terrace affordable-unit swap insubstantial and continued a flower shop variance hearing. The board voted 5-0 that moving the affordable designation between two built units in the 40B development needs no new decision, only the notice letter and the board's minutes. Kevin Quinn of Quinn Engineering sought four variances for owner Ken Nadolsky's 76 North Main Street shop: a driveway four feet from the sideline, relief from the 10-foot landscaping buffer, a retaining wall up to six feet high in the side and rear setbacks, and front-yard parking.

Members described a "pork chop lot" and a new state variance standard, and Attorney Riley agreed to draft a decision. The board voted 5-0 to continue the hearing to Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. on Zoom, with the owner hoping to pour a foundation before cold weather.
