Berlin's Zoning Board of Appeals continued a hearing on a home-based contracting permit renewal. The board voted 5-0 to carry the 107 Coburn Road petition to March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the request of petitioner Jeff Curtis. A neighbor, Mr. Lajeunesse, said containers and overweight trucks on the property did not match the earlier permit, and Curtis said the three containers hold horse feed, hay and a tractor.
A member said the board has "no concrete evidence" of noncompliance, and members agreed to drive by and possibly walk the property. Members also noted the board can write conditions but cannot enforce them. The board approved the January 14 minutes and began planning coverage for the April meeting, when a staff member will be on medical leave.
