The Charlton Planning Board approved a five-year review of a Sturbridge Road solar project's decommissioning plan.
Planning Board · Meeting of November 4, 2026
CHARLTON — The Charlton Planning Board approved a five-year review of a Sturbridge Road solar project's decommissioning plan. Members struck two proposed conditions and revised a third so the plan "shall be reviewed" with the owner every five years, against a figure that speakers called both $640,000 and $641,000. The board also approved a special permit and site plan for a vehicle storage area at 253 West Worcester Road after allowing aerial photos or video instead of a stamped survey.
It continued GM Properties to November 18, and the Amazon modification and a 360 Worcester Road property to December 2. Members asked the Town Planner to arrange a workshop with department heads on a proposed battery storage project and well protection.
