Planning Board · Meeting of October 28, 2026
Douglas Planning Board ratified an updated master plan and new stormwater regulations, then dissolved both committees that drafted them. Director of Community Development John Charbonneau said the roughly 15-page stormwater rules were built to align with the town's bylaw and federal MS4 permit standards, with input from MS4 consultant Mr. Christofori. Vice Chair Meghan Schlesman moved "to ratify the Douglas stormwater regulations and officially adopt them," and the board also unanimously adopted the master plan after nearly three years of committee work.
The board endorsed an Approval Not Required plan for a Southeast Main Street lot and adopted its 2027 schedule, cutting five meeting dates. Charbonneau told the board a public hearing opens November 18 on Amazon's bid to use the vacant Cubes of Gilboa building, including a special permit to cut required parking from about 1,200 spaces to 700 or 800.
