Patch Lists Grafton Among Massachusetts' Safest, Most Historic Towns

GRAFTON — Grafton earned a spot on a list of Massachusetts' safest and most historic communities in a roundup published Tuesday by Grafton Patch, the most notable mention of the town in an otherwise light 24 hours of local news.

SCHOOLS

Grafton High School has scheduled iPad deployment sessions for new students and incoming ninth graders this summer, the district announced on its website, though specific dates for the sessions were not yet posted. The school has also set campus tour times later this month for incoming freshmen, split alphabetically across two days.

ELSEWHERE IN THE NEWS

"Patch AM: Why Grafton ranks among Massachusetts' safest and most historic communities" was the headline atop Tuesday's Grafton Patch newsletter. The item pointed to a statewide comparison placing Grafton among the safer, more history-rich towns in Massachusetts, and the newsletter also flagged the town's Aug. 15 Back To School Block Party, which offers 500 free backpacks to families, per Grafton Patch's community calendar (read it at https://patch.com/massachusetts/grafton).
