Leominster School Committee, Subcommittees Set to Meet Monday

DATELINE — LEOMINSTER Leominster's School Committee and two of its subcommittees are scheduled to meet Monday, Aug. 24, as Leominster Public Schools also opened a new preschool waitlist this week ahead of the 2026-2027 year.

SCHOOLS The School Committee will meet Monday, Aug. 24, alongside separate sessions of its Finance Subcommittee and Policy Subcommittee, according to the district's public calendar. Leominster Public Schools also opened a waitlist for tuition-based peer slots at Bennett Preschool for the 2026-2027 year; children must turn 3 by Aug. 31 to qualify, and families can call the Bennett Preschool office at 978-534-7704 for details, the district said.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Leominster Public Library added "Kindness in Bloom!" to its calendar for kids and teens Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 6 to 7 p.m., according to the library's event listings. The library also canceled that day's planned Teen Tournament Tuesday, per its online calendar.
