Millbury Select Board renews contested auto dealer license

Select Board · Meeting of February 10, 2026

Millbury Select Board renews contested used-car dealer's license for six months. The board voted unanimously to renew Munis Tashpolatov's Class II motor vehicle dealer license for Mass Motor Auto LLC at 519 Southwest Cutoff, despite members noting the lot appeared inactive and "covered in ice and snow," with no vehicles present. Tashpolatov said he resolved a customer complaint with a refund and completed a delayed police inspection.

Separately, the board continued a National Grid public hearing on a utility pole near 103 Grafton Street after homeowner Chris Montanaro objected to a placement she said would block the family's driveway, sending National Grid back for a second site visit. Resident Terry Burke-Dotson urged the board to press National Grid on undergrounding lines and canceling electromagnetic fields ahead of the town's Main Street beautification project. The board also voted 3-0 to enter executive session on police union bargaining strategy.
