Select Board · Meeting of October 22, 2026
BOLTON — The Bolton Select Board approved amended liquor license dates for Bolton Spring Farm after storm losses and raised a senior-transportation revolving account. Members Brian Boyle, Kate Buyuk and Bill Nickles voted 3-0 to shift three one-day liquor licenses to October 24, 25 and 31 so the farm could hold an "encore weekend" after a Nor'easter wiped out its original dates. The board also voted 3-0 to raise the fiscal 2027 Van Mart revolving account from $21,000 to $30,000, citing gas costs that have "almost doubled since July." Town Administrator Marie Sobalvarro flagged a projected 10 percent health insurance increase and 11 percent pension increase for the fiscal 2028 budget, due back December 1.
The board also sought up to 12 months from the state's Division of Capital Asset Management to decide on purchasing a dam-bearing parcel after decommissioning, and voted 3-0 to enter executive session to negotiate the fire chief's contract.
