Berlin library trustees adopted an updated behavior policy and reviewed a year of rising use. The unanimous vote clarified that service animals are covered "in accordance with state law" and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The library director said the Finance Committee added a required $4,000 expense increase, tied to state aid certification, to the Town Administrator's recommended budget, while a request for more youth services hours remained a supplemental request.
The 2025 annual report showed 14,473 items checked out, up 27 percent, and 157 programs with 1,317 attendees. Trustees also agreed to look at free virtual programs offered through the Tewksbury and Ashland libraries.
