Library committee OKs $717,705 Seaver payment

WESTBOROUGH — The Library Building Committee approved a $717,705 September payment request from Seaver Construction. Brian Fors told the committee a seven-day cure period for the roofing subcontractor ends Friday, with a second roofer lined up if needed. Fors said about $46,000 would remain in the original construction contingency even after open change directives, and a little over $1 million of the appropriation is uncommitted.

Kate said commissioning on Oct. 28 made a Nov. 2 reopening unworkable. The committee also approved the monthly vendor invoice packet and the Sept. 15 minutes by roll call.
