Hardwick Select Board approved ten new utility poles on Collins Road and hired a new wastewater plant operator.
Select Board · Meeting of March 9, 2026
Hardwick Select Board approved ten new utility poles on Collins Road and hired a new wastewater plant operator. Board members Jeffrey Schaaf, William Tinker and Zachary Spencer unanimously approved National Grid and Verizon's petition after contractor Eric Fontaine said the project would convert the line to three-phase service. The board also appointed Nathan LaCroix, a grade-four licensed operator, to the wastewater treatment plant, with the superintendent noting he was "the only applicant we've gotten with a license in quite some time." The board approved $1,201.32 sewer abatements each for two Gilbertville properties and got a first look at an FY27 sewer budget up about $35,000.
Separately, member Tinker disputed the accuracy of December 2025 meeting minutes, saying they described an October 1 meeting instead, and the board voted to table them pending correction.
