Grafton conservation board approves Wyman Gordon solar array

Conservation · Meeting of March 17, 2026

Grafton Conservation Commission clears Wyman Gordon solar array with conditions on native seeding and wildlife-friendly fencing. Acting Chair Travis Mast led most of Tuesday's Zoom meeting after Chair Sandra Brock joined 20 minutes late and abstained from Worcester Street votes she hadn't heard testimony on; the panel voted 4-0 with one abstention to close that hearing and issue an order of conditions. Engineer Nick Facendola of Level Design Group told the board revised stormwater calculations eliminated the need for a phosphorus-removal waiver.

The commission also approved a porous-pavement driveway at 162 Old Upton Road, released a bond and issued a partial certificate of compliance for seven Winslow Lane addresses tied to the former Winslow Point development, and endorsed a conservation restriction over Highfields subdivision open space, with Commissioner Amyrah Arroyo asking staff to explain why golf course land warranted protection.
