Conservation Panel Votes to Fault Building Office
Conservation · Meeting of September 28, 2026
Mendon Conservation Commission votes 4-0 to complain to the Select Board over a deleted permit hold. Agent Isabella Genova told commissioners Building Commissioner John Erickson removed her hold on a garage permit at 12A Asylum Street and deleted her comments before issuing it, calling the lack of coordination something "far" beyond an oversight. One commissioner said "it shall not stand," while the panel also gave property owner Bernie Hart until the October 8 meeting to appear with a site plan before deciding on a formal enforcement order.
Separately, commissioners discussed unauthorized cutting by a logger identified as David Cobb on Washington Street and Blackstone Street, and voted unanimously to continue a Notice of Intent hearing for 109 Foxbridge Road and to issue a partial certificate of compliance for a Lindahl Road property conditioned on a $15 fee and post-storm erosion checks.
