HUBBARDSTON — The Hubbardston Board of Assessors approved a slate of Chapter 61 land-tax exemptions and set a November 12 meeting to weigh a split or single tax rate. Chair John K. Prentiss and member Jeffrey A. Young signed off on four motor vehicle excise abatements and an excise commitment prepared from a file supplied by Kelly and Ryan. The board approved rollback-tax handling for a parcel split by owner Ortolino, who is transferring three acres to his daughter for a home site, and granted Chapter 61, 61A and 61B applications for landowners including Dexter, Halleck, the Fredricos, Curtis, Bracco, the High Street Realty Trust, Hopkinson and the Calderas.
Staff told the board that "Steve is going to be flying solo for this year" on tax classification, pointing the board toward its November 12 meeting ahead of the Select Board's November 16 session on the fiscal 2027 tax rate.
