Templeton capital committee reorganizes for fiscal 2028
Capital Planning · Meeting of September 22, 2026
Templeton's Capital Improvements Committee reorganized for the new fiscal year, reelecting Justice Graves as chair and naming Jesse Stedman clerk in a unanimous 3-0 vote. Graves, an at-large member who has chaired the panel for three years, said he was willing to continue: "I've done it for the past three years, so I could do it again if necessary." The three-member quorum, which also includes Treasurer Collector's Designee Danielle Kirby, reviewed how last year's requests fared at town meeting, including Boynton Library's historic rehabilitation funded through Community Preservation Act dollars and a debt-financed Narragansett roof repair. Town Administrator James Ryan presented new standardized spreadsheet forms for departments' fiscal 2028 capital requests, which the committee adopted unanimously alongside a fall review calendar aiming for a December 14 presentation to the Select Board.
Two at-large committee seats remain vacant.
