Shrewsbury Planning Board closes three hearings, advances ADU article to Town Meeting

SHREWSBURY — March 5, 2026 — Shrewsbury Planning Board closes public hearings on three development projects and refers an ADU zoning cleanup article to the Select Board. At the March 5 meeting, Chairperson Julie Holstrom led the board through a full docket that included closing the hearing for Prestige Property Development LLC's proposed mixed-use project at 308 and 312 Boston Turnpike — the fourth session on that application — after the applicant removed all restaurant use from the proposal and the Lakeway Business Association pledged a $10,000 landscaping contribution. The board also closed hearings for a common driveway special permit at 33 and 35 Redland Road and for Cypress Ridge LLC's bid to add three single-family lots at 0 Greenbriar Drive, with Vice Chair Stephan Rodolakis stating he would not support the subdivision modification because the original 48-unit over-55 approval would not have been granted had the additional lots been disclosed. Director of Planning Christopher McGoldrick reported that a reuse survey for the former Beal School site at 15 Maple Avenue drew more than 809 responses, described as a town record.
