Bolton Select Board entered executive session to negotiate a police chief contract and sent a disputed golf club cottage proposal to the Planning Board. The board voted 3-0 by roll call for both actions, with members Brian Boyle, Bill Nickles and Kate Buyuk all voting yes. Former Planning Board member Mark Giunta told the board from Arizona that the International Golf Club's plan for seven guest cottages conflicts with zoning limiting the site to "a golf course or an equestrian park." Town Administrator Marie Sobalvarro said the town's bid for a federal earmark covering a permanent water disinfection system, which could cost $1.6 million, was advanced as one of 20 projects backed by Congresswoman Lori Trahan.
The board also reviewed a $20,383.37 unpaid bills article and a $427,000 stabilization fund transfer ahead of the May 4 Annual Town Meeting.
