Select Board · Meeting of October 20, 2026
Lunenburg Select Board finalized a nine-article warrant for the Nov. 17 special town meeting, backing a $195,830 school track and field engineering study and a non-binding stormwater utility question while rejecting two other articles. The board voted 5-0 for the track article after a structural engineer found a 150-foot section of a retaining wall "in a state of failure," and 4-1 to advance the stormwater question despite member Damon's concern about "lulling the public" with a non-binding poll. Votes of 0-5 killed a proposed accessibility-fund article and a trust-fund governance bylaw town counsel flagged as conflicting with the charter.
The board also approved Kiku Asian Cuisine's liquor license at a prorated $362.50 fee and continued Honey Farms' licensing paperwork to Oct. 27. Resident John Bowen alleged a prior fund transfer violated state law.
