Grafton Select Board rules a South Grafton rottweiler "dangerous" after it dragged a neighbor's elderly dog by the neck. The board voted unanimously to impose nine conditions on owner James D'Orsi before the dog, Bane, can return to Jim's Automotive at 141 Main Street, including a locked kennel inspected by Animal Control Officer Melinda McKendrick, neutering, microchipping, and proof of at least $100,000 in liability insurance. Complainant Molly A.
Donovan testified her 16-year-old dog, Bebe, required treatment at Tufts after being seized "like we were kind of being hunted," and later died of unrelated causes. Neighbors John Donlevy and Christine Blinkfeld described additional loose-dog incidents, with Blinkfeld saying she no longer lets her 3-year-old son play outside. Violating the order carries fines up to $500 per offense in district court.
