Rutland Planning Board Recommends Wamback as New Associate Member in 4-0 Vote
Planning Board · Meeting of June 9, 2026
Rutland Planning Board votes to recommend John Wamback as associate member, sets joint confirmation with Select Board for June 22. The board voted 4-0 at its June 9 meeting to recommend Wamback, a five-year resident and Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston marketing operations manager who previously served on the town's master plan committee, for the open associate seat. Chair Norman Anderson noted that both he and Vice Chair Timothy Nahrwold are approaching the end of their intended service terms, making the addition of new members a priority.
The board separately endorsed an Approval Not Required plan for 132 Main Street on a 4-0 vote, splitting a parcel into two roughly one-third-acre lots under Town Center 1 zoning. Anderson also directed Town Administrator Tameka Murphy to notify developer Blair in writing that 19 trees must be planted at Pioneer Circle and 19 at Arrowhead Way by June 15, with only 7 of 26 required trees in place at Pioneer Circle and 38 of 57 at Arrowhead Way as of Quinn's same-day count.
