Planning Board · Meeting of October 13, 2026

Rutland's Planning Board voted 5-0 to approve a boundary correction tied to a decades-old adverse-possession claim on Glenwood Road. Chair Norman Anderson told the board that applicant Cam Sinkewich's attorney traced the parcel's deed history to 1820 through Worcester Registry of Deeds records before perfecting title through Massachusetts Land Court. The board also opened review of the newly filed Stony Farm subdivision off Glenwood Road, where the fire chief negotiated a fire pond with the developer because the nearest hydrant sits "about a mile" away.

Members scheduled a public site walk for Saturday, October 24, at noon and are awaiting a lot count from engineering reviewer Kevin before setting a hearing. Separately, members said a lapsed sign-off step is "holding up" building permits townwide until a new reviewer is assigned.
