Planning Board · Meeting of October 14, 2026

Douglas Planning Board unanimously endorsed two lot-line adjustments, clearing zoning hurdles for future subdivisions on Perry and West streets. Land surveyor Jeff Stefanik's plan for applicant Chris Bettencourt added a frontage exception lot and a previously unmapped cemetery easement near Perry Street; consultant Tim Callahan's plan for Louis Tassino sets up an eventual three-lot Village Residential split on West Street. Both motions, made by members Michael Zwicker and Aaron Socrat, passed without objection.

Stormwater Regulation Committee chair Les Stevens briefed the board on a 15-page draft enforcement regulation tied to the town's Mumford River drainage map, warning that town-wide stormwater mapping in other communities creates "unnecessary application of filing" for residents with no nearby drains. Associate member Richard Preston reported the Master Plan Committee's 263-page draft is headed to a joint board vote October 28.
