Milford School Committee hears 40 percent K-5 literacy rate, approves $1.37 million in warrants and grants. School Business Administrator Wen flagged the transportation, athletics, and heating accounts as running deficits, with heating costs $90,000 over last year's full-year pace by February, leaving the combined operations and maintenance balance at roughly $3,000.

The committee approved a consent agenda covering 14 warrants totaling $1,258,479.01, professional development of $5,448.10, and a $111,000 grant, and unanimously approved an out-of-state field trip for first-graders to Roger Williams Park Zoo on June 11.
