Milford Planning Board advances Cedar Court facility changes and opens fee schedule review. The board unanimously declared proposed amendments to the Old Cedar Court South Stars facility special permit — originally approved in 2023 — to be minor changes, allowing the project to proceed without a new public hearing; applicant Michael Dryden of Allen Engineering outlined modifications including a 33 percent reduction in building height, elimination of a drive-in feature and raised loading dock, and a reduction from 13 parking spaces to approximately 7. The board also approved an amended site plan for a Yeti dealership at 40 Cape Road, adding snow storage and removing three vehicle display spaces, and continued a 336 Main Street site plan review to January 20.

Town Planner Matthew Benoit will return at the next meeting with a revised fee schedule — unchanged since 2013 — that would raise the Form A lot fee to $200 plus $200 per new lot and add a legal advertisement cost provision. Chair Marble M. Mainini III flagged two issues for future agenda items: a rule change to stop counting inaccessible rear parking spaces toward zoning minimums, and a new requirement for construction staging plans on significant site modifications.
