Milford Planning Board Advances Two Zoning Warrant Articles, Continues Contractor Yard Review
Planning Board · Meeting of February 17, 2026
Milford Planning Board approves Silver Hill Road accessory dwelling unit and advances two zoning warrant articles. The board voted 4-1 at its February 17 meeting to approve the site plan for an ADU conversion at 23 Silver Hill Road, subject to the applicant adding a dedicated water line as required by the water department, with Chair Marble M. Mainini III casting the dissenting vote over concerns about conditional approvals.
The board unanimously recommended two draft zoning amendments to the Select Board for the spring Town Meeting warrant: one correcting a longstanding inconsistency in which minimum lot widths exceed required frontages in residential districts, and one removing a redundant wetland setback from the zoning bylaw now that the Conservation Commission has updated its own wetland regulations. A site plan for a 7,200-square-foot contractor's yard at 225 West Street, proposed by Alpine Place, LLC, was continued to March 17 after the Milford Sewer Department denied the application for lack of a full plan set and board members flagged missing soil tests, unresolved easement questions over a shared detention basin, and fire apparatus access concerns on the sloped Route 140 lot.
