Milford Appoints Christofoli as First Director of Municipal Services

MILFORD — March 23, 2026 — Milford Select Board unanimously creates Director of Municipal Services post, names Highway Surveyor Scott Christofoli to fill it. The board voted Monday to approve Christofoli's appointment to the newly structured role, which absorbs his existing highway surveyor duties and adds oversight of the transfer station, stormwater management, and other functions; the appointment is contingent on contract negotiation and will return to the board within two meetings. The board also voted unanimously to support a May town meeting warrant article directing roughly $2,500 in annual cable subscriber fees to Milford TV, and separately authorized a five-year renewal of the station's operating agreement with the town. Milford TV Executive Director Tim Coet and board member Jerry Moody told the board that cable subscribers have fallen nearly 50 percent since 2013, substantially cutting into the station's 5 percent gross-revenue share from cable providers. "With an organization like this, when you live on the edge, $2,500 can make a lot of difference," Moody said.
