Select Board approves fire union, TV contracts

WESTBOROUGH — The Select Board approved a three-year firefighters contract and a Westborough TV amendment, and reviewed three development projects. Members voted 3-0, with Patrick Welch recused, for the Local 3070 agreement running July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. They voted 4-0 to amend the TV contract after the October town meeting lowered the tax-funded share as cable revenue rose.

Presenters described a 167,000-square-foot Costco in Southborough seeking 36.6-foot light poles, two 70,000-square-foot warehouses at One Research Drive seeking relief for 684 parking spaces against about 1,085 required, and an 80,625-square-foot warehouse at 2300 West Park Drive. The One Research Drive Planning Board hearing is November 10.
