Lunenburg Select Board ratifies annual municipal appointments in five-minute meeting
LUNENBURG — June 30, 2026 — Lunenburg Select Board ratifies annual municipal appointments in a five-minute Zoom session. The board voted 3-0 twice Tuesday to confirm both the Select Board's own slate of six positions — including Kathy Como as Animal Control Officer and Fire Chief Patrick Sullivan as Forest Warden — and a longer list of town manager appointments covering building inspectors, public weighers, five Town Clock Winders, and the full Lunenburg Police Department roster. Town Manager Jennifer Warren Diamond, who also serves as a board member, paused during the police list to note that Chief Jeffrey Thibodeau has submitted a promotion recommendation to move School Resource Officer Brad McNamara to detective, but "that has not been considered as of yet," leaving McNamara on the list in his current SRO capacity. A separate agenda item proposing to discontinue electronic voting machines for the August 8 special election was dropped without discussion after the state informed the town the option is not legally available.
