Lunenburg boards approve $18,000 in year-end transfers, set town manager goals
Select Board · Meeting of July 14, 2026
Lunenburg Select Board and Finance Committee approve $18,081 in year-end transfers and set town manager FY27 goals. Both boards unanimously approved three line-item shortfalls — $10,000 in legal expenses, $1,081.51 for the sealer of weights and measures, and $7,000 for printing the town report — drawn from a surplus in the planning board director's salary line, which ran vacant for much of the year under MGL Chapter 44, Section 33B. The Select Board separately accepted a $1,065 gift from Dillis and Roy Civil Design Group for a new beach house dedication sign and unanimously approved Town Manager Jen's FY27 goals, which prioritize process codification, Munis staff training, payroll outsourcing analysis, and a wind-down of TC Passios operations.
The bulk of the evening's discussion centered on the deteriorating TC Passios building, with Facilities Director Chris Ruth's estimated $1 million roof replacement cost and $120,000 annual operating expense driving board consensus that a demolition-versus-renovation decision must reach the capital planning committee this fall or any funded action slips to FY29.
