Grafton zoning board abandons third road-grade option for 200-unit Snow Road 40B project. The Zoning Board of Appeals, chaired by Brian Waller, voted to continue Case 910 to May 13 after engineers John Grenier of J.M. Grenier Associates and Jeff Walsh of Graves Engineering concluded that Option C — which would have reduced the Snow Road approach grade from 10 percent to 8.9 percent — is unworkable because it requires lowering a private sidewalk on Grafton Country Plaza property whose owner has refused all easement requests.

Vice Chair William McCusker summarized the result: "It just seems like we ought to maybe try to move on." The board also agreed in concept to widen five delivery spaces in front of the project clubhouse to 10 by 24 feet and worked through roughly half of the project's 27-plus zoning waiver requests, striking several as inapplicable or overbroad. A resident, Mark Potter of 14 Suzanne Terrace, raised concerns about the absence of a commercial vehicle restriction on Snow Road and about snow storage logistics for the 200-unit site.
