Grafton Voters Get Two New Paths To State Primary
DATELINE — GRAFTON
Grafton voters have two new ways to take part in the 2026 State Primary: in-person early voting opens Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Municipal Center Gymnasium, and the deadline to request a mail-in ballot falls Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 5 p.m.
TOWN HALL
The town confirmed that in-person early voting for the 2026 State Primary will run starting Aug. 22 at the Municipal Center Gymnasium, 30 Providence Road. Residents who prefer to vote by mail have until 5 p.m. on Aug. 25 to submit a request for a ballot, according to the town's website.
Separately, the Grafton Senior Center's front entrance remains closed while crews rebuild the accessibility ramp there. The closure, which began July 27 and also affects nearby parking spots, is expected to last through the end of August.
SCHOOLS
Grafton High School held campus tours for incoming freshmen with last names L through Z on Wednesday, and the district ran a 6th-grade Chromebook pickup the same morning in the high school and middle school parking lot. Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year also remains open, with families directed to the district website to enroll.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Grafton Public Library's Children's Room is closed Aug. 18 and 19, though the library is keeping the Community Room open for free play and browsing in the meantime.
