Conservation Panel Approves Brigham Hill Road Permit
Conservation · Meeting of September 29, 2026
Grafton conservation board clears geothermal home, backs Worcester Street stormwater fix. The Conservation Commission voted 3-0, with two members recused for a disclosed conflict, to approve an order of conditions for a single-family home and geothermal heating system at 66 Brigham Hill Road, requiring signage and a barrier along a 25-foot no-disturb buffer. Commissioners also voted 5-0 to support a plan cutting impervious pavement at the former Burger King site on Worcester Street from 71.6 percent to 43.2 percent ahead of a planned McDonald's, after Commissioner Emma asked whether "total coverage" was "still above the 75 percent" threshold allowed under the town's water supply protection overlay district.
A continuance for 7 and 9 Meadowbrook Road was granted to October 13, and September 15 meeting minutes were approved, both unanimously.
