SOUTHBRIDGE — The Bylaw Review Committee agreed to add a Traffic and Parking Commission section to its recommendations. Chair Stephen Kelly's panel voted 5-0 to amend Section 3-306, the Director of Inspection Services provision, correcting "raised" to "razed" and reordering subsections. The new section would create a five-member commission of the police chief, the public works director and three citizens on staggered three-year terms.
The town manager said the commission has met since at least 2009 without bylaw language. Town finance staff said tax title payment agreements need authority under Chapter 60, Section 62A. The committee postponed the July 2 minutes.
