Finance Committee · Meeting of August 20, 2026

Westborough's Advisory Finance Committee seated George Grosner as its newest member and began reviewing the draft Fall Town Meeting warrant. Town Moderator John Arnold introduced Grosner, who fills the seat left by Beth Blumberg. Town Manager Kristy Williams told members the October 19 warrant includes placeholder capital articles, a new revolving account for firearms-range revenue, a roughly $3,101 transfer to the Fourth of July Block Party account, and an Affordable Housing Trust transfer tied to the Pulte development's mitigation funds, calling the warrant's early September 22 closing "refreshingly early." Members also learned a Planning Board article faces a "299 hold" over a posting defect now before the Attorney General.

The committee approved its June 22 minutes 6-0-1 and adjourned 7-0-0, targeting October 8 to finalize its Report and Recommendations.
