Zoning Board Unanimously Approves Used Car Dealership Permit for Summer Street
Zoning Board · Meeting of March 11, 2026
Lunenburg Zoning Board of Appeals approves special permit for used car dealership and repair shop at 36 Summer Street. The board voted 4-0 Wednesday to grant the permit to Unique Motors Group, a family-owned business that has operated a sales-only lot in Leominster for roughly three and a half years. Applicant Rosanna Santos told the board the Leominster location is licensed for 18 vehicles and the company is seeking room to expand into auto repair.
The approved permit caps on-site vehicles at approximately 50, requires all mechanical work to be done indoors, prohibits outdoor parts storage, and limits business hours to Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The permit is non-transferable and subject to periodic review by the board or the town's zoning enforcement officer, with noncompliance grounds for revocation.
