West Brookfield sports roundup, Sept. 28 to Oct. 4

WEST BROOKFIELD -- The Select Board, meeting September 29, took up two items with ties to local recreation.

TOWN -- The board accepted the resignation of Stephanie Plant from the Recreation Committee. Board members said the panel is now down to two of five members and asked residents interested in serving to stop by town hall to apply. Officials noted the town clerk is compiling a broader list of committee vacancies townwide.

COMMUNITY -- The Select Board approved a special use permit for Eagle Hill School to hold a "Rowing Race Regatta" at Wickerbock Pond on October 24, 2026. The permit was approved without discussion after a motion and second.
