Southbridge Liquor Board Approves Trinity Catholic One-Day License, Sets Marquis Hearing
SOUTHBRIDGE — March 26, 2026 — Southbridge Liquor Board approves one-day license for Trinity Catholic Academy and schedules a violation hearing. The board unanimously approved a one-day liquor license — designated ODLL 26-1 — for Trinity Catholic Academy's April 11, 2026 event at LaSalle, running from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a cap of 60 attendees; the liquor agent was not present. The board also set a public hearing on a violation matter involving licensee Marquis for April 23 at 1 p.m., after the chairman told a pair of supporters in the gallery that no discussion of the case could occur outside the formal hearing and that witnesses would need to be sworn in. Separately, the board announced a new Citizens Forum policy: residents wishing to address the board must contact secretary Gail in advance, be placed on the agenda, and identify their topic — ending the practice of open floor comment at Liquor Board meetings.
