Board of Selectmen · Meeting of April 2, 2026
Warren selectmen hired a new executive assistant and signed the May election warrant while warning of a possible tax override. The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to hire Christina Havens, a former Warren resident with a paralegal background, as executive assistant to the town administrator at step two, grade C on the wage scale. The board also signed the warrant for the May 5 town election, setting polling from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sheppard Municipal Building.
Members warned that if the regional school committee's full budget request reaches town meeting, Warren's total budget would rise 12.44 percent, versus a 4.29 percent option tied to closing West Brookfield Elementary School. "You guys need to work on getting that regional agreement in control," the town administrator told the board. West Brookfield decides its own override question May 5.
