Rutland Planning Board reappoints Anderson chair, signs two subdivision decisions

Rutland Planning Board reorganized leadership and signed two subdivision land-use decisions at its May 26 meeting. Chair Norman Anderson was re-elected 3-0 with two abstentions, including Member Alexander Maus, who cited concerns about meeting conduct, saying "the demeanor that has been allowed to transgress at these meetings is something that I believe has to be addressed." Timothy Nahrwold was unanimously elected vice chair and Lauren Williams unanimously elected clerk; Nahrwold also disclosed he is serving his final three-year term after 21 years on Rutland boards. It also approved a minor culvert design modification at Bryce Estates Woodside Phase 4, extended a tree-planting deadline to June 14, and directed staff to seek a written DPW recommendation on catch basin standards at three subdivisions before the June 9 meeting. The board flagged that the possible loss of its shared town administrator as of July 1 could significantly affect its clerk's workload.
