Parks and Rec and Fuller Field Commission · Meeting of April 8, 2026

Clinton's Parks and Recreation Commission and Fuller Field Commission discussed a $65,000 capital request for new Fuller Field bleachers tied to hosting Thanksgiving football games. A staff presenter told the joint meeting that a personnel reclassification will trim about $9,000 from the fiscal 2027 budget, while heat, light and power costs are expected to rise roughly $3,000. The extended day program, fully self-funded through tuition, now serves about 75 children a day at the school building, up from a stated 40-child capacity.

The department also reported two $2,000 grants, for its Holiday Pops and Movie in the Park series, and a concession stand window upgrade at Fuller Field quoted around $1,400, paid from Nishoba field fees. No vote was taken on the budget or the bleacher request, which await Finance Committee review.
