Millbury Town Meeting approves $61.2 million budget, narrowly rejects new parking rule. Voters passed a $61,247,544 fiscal 2027 operating budget and 18 of 20 warrant articles, while School Committee Chair Chris Wilbur reported the town's $19.9 million high school and Elmwood roof and HVAC projects will finish about $4.4 million under budget, with borrowing at $15.5 million. Finance Director Katie McKenna fielded resident questions over a $542,300 snow-and-ice transfer and veteran's services cuts.

The night's biggest fight came on Article 16, a Planning Board proposal requiring on-site parking for new development; resident Nick Lazara warned its promised grandfathering "is not written in policy," and the measure failed 47-48, short of the two-thirds threshold. A related Route 146 corridor rezoning and a Bramaville Village setback change both passed by two-thirds.
