Millbury Sewer Board Approves Five Licenses, Two Abatements at Meeting
Water · Meeting of June 9, 2026
Millbury Water and Sewer Commission approves five licenses and two abatements, tables a Riverland Street sewer request. Commissioners unanimously approved a drain layer's license and sewer connection permit for Primetime Development Inc. at 2 Pearl Street for a Millbury Housing Authority job, a sewer disconnect for a demolition property, and a $94.30 pool-related abatement for 10 Brandon Road. Contractor Dan Bertham received a license limited strictly to repairing a sewer connection at a fire-damaged home, after a staffer said Bertham's original 2023 work failed and he had been unreachable for a period afterward.
"He's agreed to come back and fix the sewer for the homeowner, so I think that we kind of have to give him a license," the staffer said. Commissioners deferred action on Riverland Street property owner Steve Fox's request to build a parallel, 1,000-foot sewer force main, warning it could set a precedent, and instead invited him to a future meeting.
