Millbury School Committee sends $250,000 in warrant articles to Town Meeting. Meeting at Shaw Elementary, the panel voted 4-0 to forward four capital articles, including $105,000 for Wi-Fi upgrades, $80,000 for a plow truck and $65,000 for exterior doors, while tabling a $147,000 Chromebook request for lack of town funding. Assistant Superintendent Richard Bedard said a burst pipe at the high school on February 2 cost the district about $6,700, below its $10,000 insurance deductible.

The committee also accepted a $7,840.33 Class of 2025 gift and reviewed a proposed $28,020,064 fiscal 2027 budget, up 4.62 percent, with Chapter 70 state aid pegged at $9,379,443. Director Jeff Berthiaume said rebidding photocopier contracts would cut costs: "We know if we go out to bid on this, we will spend less than what we're currently spending now."
