Millbury Planning Board votes to sponsor floodplain bylaw fixes for fall Town Meeting. Planning Director Victor Panak told the board the state's Department of Conservation and Recreation found the town's floodplain overlay bylaw out of compliance with National Flood Insurance Program requirements, prompting a unanimous vote to sponsor updated language as a fall 2026 Town Meeting article. Member Francis DeSimone pressed on how residents near the Blackstone River, Dorothy Pond and Lake Singletary would fare once FEMA issues new flood maps, expected within one to two years; Panak said "that property owner will not be able to get federal flood insurance" if the town falls out of the program.

The board also unanimously extended hours for the 12 Lattie Farm Road cannabis dispensary to 7 a.m.-midnight after applicant Antonio Cardellano cited competition from roughly 18 Worcester dispensaries. Resident Terry Burkdotson raised an unresolved concern about a duplex foundation's setback at 4 Beach Street, which the board referred to the building inspector. The 100 Rivlin Street site plan review was continued to July 13.
