Milford Zoning Board Approves Three Permits
Zoning Board · Meeting of September 10, 2026
Milford Zoning Board approves a home salon, a contested lot split and a second-floor addition, then punts a fourth case to October over a quorum gap. Chair David R. Consigli's board unanimously approved a special permit for a 200-square-foot home beauty salon at 230 Purchase Street and a special permit letting Rafael D.
Oliveira add a third bedroom at 11 Claflin Street. The board's biggest fight came over Vineyard Point Ventures Inc.'s bid to split a merged 1940s-era lot on Mount Pleasant Street, needing a variance for 77.82 feet of frontage against an 80-foot requirement; an unnamed neighbor said "I've already got cracks in my foundation" from prior blasting and pressed the developer on dead ash trees, and the board approved the split 5-0 conditioned on tree removal. With Vice Chair John W.
Mastroianni called away to an emergency in Franklin, a Water Street applicant opted to wait for a full five-member board rather than proceed with four, continuing that case to October 8.
