Milford Select Board Unanimously Backs Sky Neutro State Incentive Letter

MILFORD — May 19, 2026 — Milford Select Board backs $12 million candy maker relocation with unanimous letter of support vote. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to authorize a letter of support to the state of Massachusetts for Sky Neutro, a reduced-sugar gummy candy and fruit snack manufacturer seeking to relocate from Southbridge to a 93,000-square-foot vacant building at 5-7 Industrial Road. President and CEO Nate Spock and Co-Founder and COO Paul Barstow told the board the move represents $12 million in total private investment — $4 million in construction and $8 million in automation equipment — and projects 120 new jobs over three years at average salaries of $75,000 to $90,000. No local tax breaks are being sought; the company is applying for a state tax credit with a May 27 submission deadline. The board also unanimously appointed Jonathan Johnson as a part-time transfer station attendant at $20.51 an hour and Kerry Constantino Valorio as part-time Senior Center Program Coordinator at a starting salary of $2,944, both effective May 20.
