Milford School Building Committee Votes Unanimously to Submit PDP Report to State Authority
MILFORD — June 17, 2026 — Milford High School Building Committee clears key milestone, approves PDP for state submission. The committee voted unanimously at its June 17 meeting to submit the roughly 1,300-page Project Definition Program report to the Massachusetts School Building Authority, closing out the PDP phase and beginning the Preferred Schematic Report process that must narrow six design options to one by late October. Members also unanimously approved a $45,000 amendment to its contract with designer HMFH Architects for wetland delineation and survey work, after the committee acknowledged it had underestimated the complexity of the site's wetland boundaries. A $123,222.22 project warrant was approved alongside a $307.40 staff timesheet. The committee received the first MSBA reimbursement check of approximately $130,000 and heard that a vote to execute a construction manager contract — with either Consigli or Shawmut, following proposals due June 19 and interviews June 24 — is set for July 15. A special town meeting to seek project funding approval is targeted for fall 2027.
