MILFORD — April 21, 2026 — Milford Planning Board continues Beaver Street propane amendment and scraps spring zoning push. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to continue a site plan amendment for Slick City at 31 Beaver Street, where the applicant is seeking to add four 1,000-gallon exterior propane tanks, after finding that retaining walls at the site's driveway crossing had collapsed at least a month ago without a repair permit being pulled and that submitted plans did not show a required six-foot chain-link enclosure or vehicle bollard details called for in a Fire Department letter signed by Mark Nielsen. Planning staff Elizabeth told the board the walls — estimated at eight to ten feet in height — had not yet been addressed by the applicant, and members agreed no occupancy permit can issue until geotechnical and structural engineering reports explain the failure and a repair is completed to a structural engineer's satisfaction. Separately, the board confirmed that zoning bylaw amendments will not appear on the spring Town Meeting warrant after Town Counsel ruled that the prior public hearing, held on election night, was procedurally defective under state law; the amendments move to fall.
